The year is 2020, and I think everyone has Netflix. If you don’t, you must be living under a rock.
I’m going to try and keep the all-time favorites off of this list. As I said, it’s 2020 and everyone has Netflix. This means that I’m sure a lot of people have already seen the classic binge-worthy shows. Shows like Breaking Bad, Dexter, Grey’s Anatomy, etc.
Before I lose any of you, let’s just hop right into it.
If you haven’t seen Money Heist yet, you need to! This is one of the best shows that I’ve seen in the last three years. My girlfriend and I started this show when Quarantine first started. At that time, the fourth season/part just came out. I’m not exaggerating, we finished all four parts in like two weeks.
This show is full of cliff-hangers and non-stop action. Everything that you could want in a show. The best part, there will be a season/part five. If you are looking for a new show to binge, Money Heist will be great.
Avatar: The Last Airbender
I know this won’t be for everyone. Avatar is an animated show. And it brings me back to my childhood. Every time I turned on a new episode, it was like I hopped into a time machine. Just like that, I went back 10 years and it was amazing. I know that animated shows are not for everyone, but I highly recommend this show.
There are three seasons, and the show comes to a conclusion at the end of those three seasons. I know some people like to start a show that will have a conclusion. Give it a shot, it’s a lot of fun. I have a feeling you will want to be a bender by the end. I was ready to be the Avatar myself by the end.
This is the show that I’m currently watching. Actually, this is my second time watching it. New Girl has 22–23-minute episodes and it is a sitcom type show. What I like about New Girl is the timeline. Basically, there is one central plot/timeline of the show. However, each episode has its own little adventure.
New Girl is one of the best sitcom shows I’ve ever seen. I cannot recommend this show enough. It’s full of laughs and awesome content. It’s right up there with How I Met Your Mother for me.
In my attempt to live off the big-name classics, Broadchurch makes the list. Broadchurch has three seasons and it a detective type show. Actually, it’s one of the best detective/mystery shows I’ve ever seen.
With it being three seasons, the first two seasons are connected. However, it’s more of an action (season 1)and then the consequences (season 2). The third season is a separate crime with the same characters. The entire show is connected. I highly recommend this show.
I’m actually hoping that Broadchurch comes out with another season.
The last show on this list is 3%. I’m willing to bet that a lot of people have not heard of this show. 3% is an amazing concept. Basically, it is a world set in the future. However, this world is separated into just two parts. The off-shore and the in-land. Only 3% of the population are allowed on the 0ff-shore (Hence the name of the show). When a person turns 18 or 21 (I can’t remember) then they go through “The Process.” The process is basically a test that finds out if anyone belongs in the 3% of the population on the off-shore.
This is a super cool and unique show. There are currently four seasons, and there have been some awesome twists and turns. I will warn you. 3% is a Portuguese show, so the mouths and words are off depending on what language you watch the show in.
These are just five shows that you should watch on Netflix. Honestly, I have more than I didn’t include on this list. If this story does well, I’ll think about making this a series and/or doing another addition. Again, I tried to leave off the classic binge-worthy shows that everyone recommends. If you think I left off a show that should be on this list, tell me! I’m always looking for more shows to watch!
